The Giver

What has happened in the book so far is that Jonas is a kid that lives like in a controlled world. He has many rules to follow and they got lot of rituals they need to complete. One of this can be the ritual of the Ones and the Twelves where here you become a one (person actually) and the twelve were you become like a man and have your assignment for the rest of the live. Jonas is near to the twelves and he had been talking with his parents of the assignments and the volunteer hours he need to complete. Then they talk with his sister and she said that she would like to be a birth mother but then they told her that if she was one she wouldn't be very much respected. Later on they went to saw a baby and the baby had a different color eyes like Jonas have them and they thought that this baby can be special and different to others.   Then Jonas need to do volunteer hours in the house of the old with Fiona and Asher to help this old people to take baths and they would take care of them. Jonas liked Fiona he said that she was a good person and that he really liked her so he passed all the day with her in the Old House. So that is what we have read so far and in my opinion this book is very interesting and has a hided story behind him.

My textual reference is Lily "I hope I get assigned to be a birth mother." Mother "Lily! dont say that. There is very little honor in that Assignment.(21)" What I thought of when I see this was that there are some jobs that are more respected and meaningful than others. This can show un-respect to this people and make us think that this society has social-classes and preference in people with better things. But I think that was a good act for me that Lily want to be a birth mother so this make me thing that she don't mis-appreciate any job but also I think she said that because she dint know much about this topic and didn't know what this job is valued.รง

In conclusion what i think of this book is that is very interesting and that has some things that are difficult  to understand. I predict that Jonas is going to do something with Fiona in the Old House like he is going to tell her the love he haves for her. What i think until now of the Jonas world is that is controlled like someone like the Truman show that can see it all and control everything of what they do. Another thing I can predict is that Jonas in the twelves in going to do something controversial or have to do something that is very important and different from the rest.

What i think this book would be about is that there is this man called the Giver. This is an very old and wise man that know many things and is like the wiser of the city. This man would have a very important job to do and that would be the develop of the story. What I thought when interviwing the book was that Jonas is like a young person that need to know everything form the Giver. This would be in case if the Giver dies and then ik no one knows anything they would advance and there cuty would change.

What i think this quote means is that its like advertising the childrens right now of the future and so we can have an idea of how its going to be if we keep like this. This is like dedicating for something that can happen and we need to be prepared, for this quote is very clear that this is going to be in the future. The part that said "to whom we entrust the future" is telling for the people that are going to be in the future and are going to make real changes and actions in the future.

What I think is going to happen is that at first Jonas is going to dislike the Giver and is going to think like if he is a boring old man. But thne he would notice he is the wiser man and that he is an example to follow. At the end both are going to be friends and take care of eacg pther and that the Giver is going to leave him with one duty to complete, one the Giver never get to do it.
